Supported Accommodation for Young People 16+

Our Floating Support Services for Young People aged 16 – 25 years old is aimed to provide support to young people to help them to achieve their individual outcomes as agreed on the Individual Support Plan.

The service aims to ensure that Young People are appropriately involved in all decisions made about their support, including its intensity, frequency and duration.

We work closely with accommodation service providers, community mental health teams, landlords, the police, probation, YOT, the courts, the Department of Work and Pensions, the voluntary sector, local housing authorities, education and training agencies and children’s services departments to ensure that the needs of the young person are met and they are appropriately supported.

  • Maintaining a tenancy and dealing with correspondence
  • Managing finances, including budgeting and benefits
  • Daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Building confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Accessing education, training and employment
  • Building positive relationships

  • Learning difficulties
  • Physical difficulties
  • affected by domestic abuse
  • affected by exploitation (including child sexual exploitation, gang or drug related exploitation)
  • affected by substance misuse
  • with complex and needs
  • Difficulty in managing and understanding their emotions
  • History of poor relationships
  • Feeling lonely and isolated
  • Financial loss and insecurity
  • Low self-esteem and lack of confidence
  • Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children
